The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the whole world, including the world of mobility. In the Netherlands we experienced “Intelligent Lockdown”. Although the consequences are difficult for all of us, this period also presents us with an opportunity. The Connekt Network is convinced that we can emerge stronger from this crisis.

In this report the Smart Mobility Embassy, sketches a picture of the playing field and various developments and trends in Smart Mobility. This document does not pretend to be all-encompassing. We do hope, though, that it provides insight and serves as a prelude to possible future policy and initiatives.

Members of the Dutch public-private network for smart, sustainable and social inclusive mobility Connekt launched the Smart Mobility Embassy at the IAA Frankfurt on 14 September 2017. The Smart Mobility Embassy (SME) is an intermediary between the demand for Dutch smart mobility expertise and Dutch parties that can deliver. The Smart Mobility Embassy wants to be a launching customer for the deployment of smart mobility in Europe.
